Short Term Programs

Faculty Led Study Tours

Monash Arts offers students a diverse range of intensive (2 – 4 weeks) summer and winter units around the world!

Intensive Language Programs

Studying overseas as part of your language major is a great way to immerse yourself in your chosen language and culture. Monash offers a variety of faculty-led programs and provide credit for endorsed language programs.

Arts in Prato Units

Study any unit offered in the Semester in Prato program as a short 4 week intensive unit.

Field Trips within Australia

Field trips provide Monash Arts students the opportunity to leave the four walls of the classroom and participate in experiential learning by visiting museums, industry partners, and relevant geographical areas.

Study between 4 - 12 weeks at the Monash Prato Centre, Italy.

Intercampus Exchange

Monash Malaysia is Monash’s first international campus. Australian citizens and Permanent Residents are eligible for the Malaysia Package (up to $4000) in value.

Advice for Bachelor of Global Studies

As a Bachelor of Global Studies (BGS) student, you are in a unique position of having overseas study built directly into your course. We can assist you in planning, applying and enrolling in your chosen overseas study program.

Study at the Monash Prato Centre

Flexibility to take semester long programs (12 weeks) or intensive units (2-4 weeks) – make the Monash Prato Centre your European study base.

Non Monash Programs

Found a program taught by an overseas higher education institution? You may be eligible to receive credit for this program!


International internships are a great way to obtain professional experience and establish networks around the world, and you can do this in between semesters!

Application Process

Arts Global Programs will assist you from your very first step in deciding when you can study overseas and in choosing a program that best fits within your Arts Degree.

We will support you throughout the application process right up until you return to Monash, where you will become part of a growing network of Arts students who have studied overseas!

On acceptance into your program, Monash Abroad will liaise with you to coordinate your funding and complimentary travel insurance.

All students must apply for credit prior to departure and cannot receive retrospective credit for a program completed overseas.

Financial Information

All students travelling on a faculty approved program receive a Monash Abroad Travel Scholarship of $500 - $2500, depending on the program.

There are also a range of other scholarship and loan opportunities available to students - making overseas study very affordable!
