Program details

The unit aims to equip students with intercultural skills which will enable them to effectively engage in global networks. Introducing students to Cultural Intelligence, the unit will provide critical tools for intercultural management, a key competency for studying and working in transnational environments. Students will complete guided intercultural interactions in and outside classroom, in order to produce written self-reflection on their cultural experience. Fostering crucial graduate attributes such as cross-cultural collaboration, teamwork, cultural awareness and critical thinking, this unit will enable students to build their profile as global leaders.

Deposit: $300 (Paid on application)

Total program fee (includes deposit + balance): $300

Tuition fees: Monash students will be charged fees according to their verified funding status. This fee will appear on your Monash Fee Statement. Non-Monash students must contact arts-study-tours@monash.edu to enquire about tuition fees.

Accommodation: Students participating in the Semester in Prato program must stay in Prato during their program dates.  There are many great options close to the Prato Centre that you will book independently.

Travel: International return airfare* and associated transfers

Other Costs: Meals and spending money.

* Please note, students should not book flights until after your application has been endorsed by the Faculty and the Faculty has confirmed the program will be going ahead.

Applications close: Applications for 2017 Semester 2 are now closed.

* Art Study Tour units have a minimum number of students to be able to go ahead. Students should not make any travel arrangements until the Faculty has endorsed their application and confirmed the program will be going ahead.
