Short-term International Study Programs

Short-term international study programs provide students the opportunity to study overseas during the winter and summer semesters!

Monash Arts students have a variety of options available to them. Take a look and see what may interest you!


Faculty-led Programs

Monash Arts offers students a diverse range of intensive (2 – 4 weeks) summer and winter units around the world!

  • Units are intensively taught and assessed by Monash academics.
  • Places are filled on a first-come, first served basis. There are also maximum quotas so be sure to get your application in early!

 Arts in Prato programs

Study at Monash’s European education and research hub, Monash Prato Centre! Monash Arts offers a number of intensive units taught over 2 – 4 weeks.

  • Units are taught and assessed by Monash academics.

Intensive language programs

Studying overseas as part of your language major is a great way to immerse yourself in your chosen language and culture. Although Monash offers a limited number of faculty-led programs, there are a variety of endorsed language programs available to language students for credit!


International Internships

International internships are a great way to obtain professional experience and establish networks around the world, and you can do this in between semesters!

Found a program taught by an overseas higher education institution? You may be eligible to receive credit for this program!

Non-credit bearing programs

Monash will provide some financial assistance ($200) and travel insurance for students participating in programs overseas that do not earn credit toward the student’s degree.
