Experiential learning

The Master of International Relations helps you to develop a range of important generic skills which many employers consider invaluable. This is because the MIR degree encompasses analysis of complex political, social and strategic problems, as well as the development of the skills needed to communicate this analysis, providing a basis for diverse career possibilities.

To support your career development, the MIR’s unique field school program enables students to meet high level government and non-government officials through programs in Canberra and Jakarta.

As part of the course, you will also have access to CAVE 2, a  $1.8M facility that is a unique research instrument in Australia, representing the world’s most advanced visualisation facility of its type at the time of launch.
