intern students in a group, happy

Gain real-world skills with internships

Want to get hands-on experience while you study? Why not apply for an internship? Internships are so much more than work experience because they integrate with learning programs to open up new possibilities and pathways for you. Internships are just one of the ways an Arts degree can take you where you want to be.

Get credit for hands-on industry experience

Gain real-world experience and practical skills in a workplace, learning leadership skills, extending your networks and developing career opportunities.

Internships allow students to learn on the job, as a worker within an organisation, whilst integrating that learning into their study, and gaining course credits.

  • 3-4 week programs available
  • Available to 2nd and 3rd year students
  • Australian and  international internship opportunities
  • Gain course credits (12cps)

You can organise your own internship placement which gives you the opportunity to target an area in which you have a keen interest. Or you can apply for one of the programs organized through the Faculty.

Some subjects or majors also provide the opportunity to complete a subject specific internship. For example, if you’re a journalism student, there are specific Journalism internships you can complete. Other subjects can provide similar opportunities, including International Relations, and Languages.
